Launched by CMC The Collective

Scale.Keep the company.

Collectors can't access processor margin. Processors can't secure the supply. Both need capital that doesn't ask for control. So we're finding better ways to fund a circular business — together.

The CMC Community — recyclers, refiners, e-waste processors and circular miners. Working together on trade finance, project finance, debt finance, and the value locked inside their own equity.

Why we exist

What it costs to scale alone.

Most people who find us are stuck in one of two places — and the way out of both is money on terms that don't cost you your company.

The collector

You gather and aggregate feedstock. You know the material better than anyone in the chain. But the margin sits downstream in refining, and you have no route to it — so you sell into someone else's spread, year after year, and watch the value leave with the truck.

Missing: A way up the chain

The processor

You have the plant, the permits and the technology. What you can't get is a guaranteed long-term supply of feedstock — so the line runs below capacity, financiers see volume risk instead of a business, and the cost of every facility reflects it.

Scale needs capital, and every route you've been offered so far asks for a piece of the company you spent your life building.

The plant, the permits and the technology are already here. What has been missing is capital on terms that don't ask for the company.

02 · What members do together

Three ways to scale that only work together.

Ordinary, unglamorous, and genuinely hard to do alone. This is the work of the community itself — what happens between member companies, day to day.

01

Better terms, because we ask together

One small company asking a bank for money is easy to say no to. A hundred companies from the same industry, arriving together, is a different conversation. Every deal is still yours to sign.

  • We meet the money as a group, not one by one
  • You decide. You sign. Nothing is decided for you
02

Get your company ready to be funded

Most of us are turned down for the wrong reason. The business is good — the paperwork isn't. We introduce you to the advisers who fix that.

  • Advisers who already know this industry
  • The skills that make a company fundable
03

Grow bigger than your own plant

Some things are simply out of reach for one SME. Members who qualify may be invited to become owners in CMC The Collective. You keep your own company.

  • By invitation and eligibility only
  • A separate structure and decision

What we are

Member-led. Member-governed.

The community is the door. The Collective is what stands behind it.

1:1

One member company. One vote.

The CMC Community was launched by CMC The Collective as the place where founders in the circular chain meet, hold a common standard and work on the same problem together.

Members admit members. Members elect the governing body. One vote per member company, regardless of size. That is written into the constitution, not into a slogan.

Feedstock, baled

Every bale in this yard is somebody's margin. The question is whose — and at which point in the chain it stops being yours.

04 · The journey

Explorer, then Member. No leap.

You come in as far as trust has been earned. Each stage stands on its own, and each one ends with you deciding whether to take the next.

01

Explorer

Meet the community before you commit to anything. See how it works, read what governs it, and talk to the people already in it.

  • Attend a working session or gathering as a guest
  • Read the constitution and the Code of Circularity in full
  • Speak with existing members — unaccompanied, if you prefer
  • Bring a real problem from your business

No dues · no obligation

02

Member

Take your seat. One vote in how the community is run, and everything the membership does together.

  • One member, one vote — at any size of company
  • Peer circles and the member platform
  • Working sessions, the annual Forum, and the member network
  • Full member documentation, provided on admission

05 · The first ninety-nine

The Founding Circle of the community.

Every institution is shaped most by the people who arrive before it becomes popular. The Founding Circle is capped at 99 member companies — the founders who write the Constitution, set the norms, and hand on the culture everyone after inherits.

Founding members carry the Founding designation permanently. When the ninety-nine seats are taken, the Circle closes.

What we are here to solve

  • Growth capital that doesn't cost you control of your company
  • Working capital that moves at the speed your cargoes actually move
  • A route up the chain for collectors, and secure supply for processors
  • A company shaped so a financier can read it — and fund it
  • Value you can eventually reach in the equity you already own
  • Peers who have solved it before, and will tell you how
